In-Person SLT
Nationwide — wherever you are
Face-to-face sessions with children and families in your area. We have clients across New Zealand — if there are no clients near you yet, you can take on virtual sessions in the meantime.
Virtual SLT
Remote — anywhere in NZ
Live 1-on-1 video sessions with clients nationwide. Perfect for SLTs who want flexibility to work evenings or weekends alongside another role.
Home Support Reviewer
Fully remote — your own schedule
Review monthly or fortnightly questionnaires and audio files submitted by families. Provide written guidance and activity plans. No live sessions — work entirely at your own pace.
Flexible ways to work with Sally Says
We know SLTs work in different ways. Some want a few extra sessions each week through payroll. Others already run their own practice and prefer to work as independent contractors.
Casual employee pathway
Best suited to SLTs who want simple payroll, PAYE handled, and flexible casual work with no guaranteed hours at the start.
This may suit you if:
- ✓You want occasional or part-time work
- ✓You don't want to manage contractor invoicing
- ✓You prefer PAYE to be deducted
- ✓You want Sally Says to handle payroll administration
- ✓You're testing whether private work suits you
Independent contractor pathway
Best suited to SLTs who already operate, or want to operate, as independent clinicians.
This may suit you if:
- ✓You already contract or run private work
- ✓You want to invoice or receive contractor statements
- ✓You're comfortable managing your own tax, ACC, GST and insurance
- ✓You want flexibility and clinical independence
- ✓You may work with other clinics, schools, or platforms
Important note: The final arrangement must reflect the real working relationship. Contractor status is not just a preference box — it must match how the work is actually carried out.
